If you thought the McLaren W1 was the fastest and most exciting upcoming papaya machine you could potentially get your hands on, think again. RM Sotheby’s have just announced that they will be auctioning an incredible trio of future McLaren race cars at their Abu Dhabi sale on December 5th, allowing you to become far more than just a spectator as Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, and the rest of McLaren’s roster of world-class drivers compete in your very own papaya racer during the 2026 and 2027 racing seasons. Between the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 car, 2026 Indianapolis 500 IndyCar, and 2027 Le Mans WEC Hypercar, it’s impossible to choose just one, so we suggest keeping this triple crown of McLarens together for a papaya party like no other.

2026 Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team Dallara-Chevrolet DW12
Estimated to achieve between $500,000 and $700,000, this race-ready machine will be delivered to its extraordinarily lucky new owner by the first quarter of 2028. By that time, this 900 horsepower, twin-turbocharged 2.2-litre V6 hybrid IndyCar will have completed the 2026 NTT IndyCar Series, including the flagship race at the Indianapolis 500, under the Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team banner.
The buyer will enjoy a better-than-front-row experience of all the action, with four VIP tickets to the 2026 Indianapolis 500, a Pato O’Ward race suit, two-seater experience rides at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and an Arrow McLaren facility tour to name just a few perks, while you’ll even be able to drive this 374 km/h-capable papaya bullet with factory support in selected track day and demonstration events.

2027 McLaren LMDh United AS WEC Hypercar Team
This is a historic opportunity to acquire the first McLaren United AS LMDh Hypercar from its debut season, representing the first McLaren to race at Le Mans since the F1 GTR. Designed by McLaren Racing and McLaren Automotive in collaboration with Dallara, and to be campaigned by McLaren United AS, this hybrid V6 twin-turbo-powered WEC Hypercar will even have the new owner’s name inscribed on its chassis tag.
Like the IndyCar above, the lucky owner will be inducted into the McLaren family, with four VIP tickets for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2026, two VIP tickets and hospitality experience with the McLaren Formula 1 Team at the Indianapolis 500, plus two hospitality tickets at all 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship rounds. As if that wasn’t sweet enough, the car will by accompanied by a book recording the car’s race history and a signed race suit. All this for the estimated sale price of $6,000,000 to $8,000,000.

2026 McLaren Formula 1 Team MCL40A
Saving the best until last, we present this world-first opportunity to acquire a future FIA Formula One World Championship car ahead of its unveiling, making the sale estimate of between $10,000,000 and $12,000,000 look like something of a steal. This future Formula 1 star will be built to the new 2026 regulations, meaning it will be smaller, lighter and feature more active aero than this year’s Constructors’ Championship-winning machine.
Powered by the the 2026-specification turbocharged 1.6‑litre hybrid V6 power unit designed and built by Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains, the winning bidder will either receive Lando Norris’ or Oscar Piastri’s chassis at the end of the first quarter of 2028, with a 2025 show car available on lease prior to arrival. Naturally, there’s a whole host of extras included in the sale, such as an invite to the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, hospitality experiences at two Grands Prix, plus 24 Hours of Le Mans and Indianapolis 500 access. Considering McLaren’s performance during this year’s Formula 1 season, we wouldn’t be surprised if this car becomes a race winner at the least by the time its new owner takes delivery in 2028.
