Is blue over blue cloth the ultimate spec for the Ferrari FF?

Ferrari Chairman John Elkann certainly knows a thing or two about specifying a prancing horse. This blue over blue cloth Ferrari FF heading to RM Sotheby’s Paris sale is the ultimate proof.

We can’t recall the last time we saw a modern Ferrari with a cloth interior, which is why we were stopped in our tracks when we spotted this incredible Ferrari FF heading to RM Sotheby’s Paris sale on January 28th. As it turns out, this isn’t just any impeccably-specced FF either, but rather a car ordered by none other than current Ferrari Chairman and grandson of Gianni Agnelli, John Elkann. As a refresher, the FF was the first four-wheel drive Ferrari and is one of the last prancing horses designed by famed Italian carrozzeria Pininfarina before Ferrari moved design duties in-house starting with the La Ferrari.

Finished in the rarely-seen shade of Nuovo Blu over a matching Blu interior in a combination of leather for the dash and cloth for the seats and door cards, this is one of the most unusual and beautifully optioned FFs we’ve ever seen in the Classic Driver Market. Clearly it’s a family thing, as keen Classic Drivers will remember Lapo Elkann’s incredible camouflaged 458 we covered back in 2024. However, returning to today’s star car, other options we must mention include the headrests stitched with Cavallino logos, white piping along the seats and doors, and full-length glass sunroof.

Powered by a 6.2-litre V12 engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, this FF makes 650 horsepower, allowing it to hit 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds before rocketing up to a 208 mph top speed. Currently showing just 16,037 kilometres, you’re unlikely to see a more impressive example of Ferrari’s four-seater supercar any time soon.
