You won't need a bigger boat than this shark-nosed BMW CSL IMSA

Objects in the rear-view mirror may seem closer than they appear, especially when they tote a shark-nosed BMW grille. Renowned photographer Charlie Brenninkmeijer’s new design agency Cashmere Motorsport digitally reimagines the iconic 3.0 CSL in a very fitting livery…

Jägermeister, UFO, even the striking shades of Alexander Calder’s handy work. However you like your 3.0 CSL, there’s a good chance you’ll see the perfect period photo of it barrelling through apexes and leaping over curbs, but we can bet you’ve never seen a 3.0 CSL quite like this one, complete with razor-sharp teeth, shark-themed headlamp covers and even the iconic soundtrack from 'Jaws' plastered up the rear quarter.

Sure, it may not have rubbed wheel arches with Porsches and Ford, but we can leave that to our vivid imagination. Created by Charlie Brenninkmeijer’s recently established digital agency Cashmere Motorsport, this Jaws-themed BMW had us all firmly stopped in our tracks, gawping at the many details that can be easily overlooked at first glance.

Take the driver at the helm of the shark-nose, none other than C. Quint, who we can only assume needed some extra adrenaline away from the choppy waters of Amity Island and decided to go racing! Elsewhere on this incredible render, there’s even a trusty Classic Driver sticker proudly shown on the windscreen, which we’re taking as a sign that we need to acquire our own 3.0 CSL to make this dream machine a reality!
