The Porsche 911 S 2.4 Targa offered for sale here was delivered to Verona, Italy on 11 April 1973. In 1986 the car was registered in Milan to Mrs. Gabriella Ugolini, who sold the car in 2011 to the presumably 3rd owner in Neukirchen, Germany. In 2018, the next and last change of ownership took place within Germany, to Bavaria.

In 2012, the car was completely restored by a German company. The restoration was documented photographically and shows the sensational substance of the vehicle. It is actually a pity that it was not left original. Both visually and technically, the car is immaculate.

During the restoration, great care was taken to keep the car in its original colour combination. Thus the Targa is matching numbers and colours.

In 2012, with a mileage of 21,215 km, a maintenance booklet was created, which was stamped continuously until 2021. In addition, all TÜV reports and maintenance invoices from 2012 are available. Truly a first-class Targa which offers a lot of driving pleasure but also represents a safe investment.

History of the series
------------------------

The first 911 to roll off the production line in 1964 was the so-called Urmodell (original model) with a 2-litre six-cylinder boxer engine presented at the 1963 IAA.

After three years, the model series was expanded by a more powerful model, the 911 S.

In this sportier version, the almost identical engine delivered an output of 118 kW (160 hp).

In 1969, the displacement of all engines was increased from 1991 cc to 2195 cc (2.2 litres). Two years later, the displacement was increased again to 2341 cc (2.4 litres).
The power of the engines increased accordingly, so that the top model, the 911 S, now produced 140 kW (190 hp) on the road.

In 1972, the 911 S was the fastest production car built in Germany with an acceleration from 0-100 km/h of 7.0 seconds and had a top speed of 230 km/h. As a 2.4 S Targa, a total of only 1894 units were built exclusively in 1972.
