1973.5 Porsche 911s combine the desirable long hood body style with the then new CIS type fuel injection replacing the mechanical injection that was used from 69-73.
The seller bought the Car in spring of ’21 from a dealer who had acquired it from the 2nd owner. It was a genuine 102k mile 2 owner car at that time.
This car was bought new by Dr Ralph Bransky on 5/21/73 from Scala/O’Brien Porsche/Audi in Chicago Illinois for $11,776.
He traded his 72 T Targa in on it and optioned everything available at the time.
Gold metallic paint, houndstooth seats, 15” wheels, Dunlop tires, 5 speed, Koni shocks, F&R sway bars, AM/FM Frankfurt stereo, Appearance group (S trim including S brakes), air conditioning and tinted glass.
The original dealer invoice and every subsequent receipt is included with the car along with all the books, manuals and a COA.
The car was immediately taken and treated with Ziebart. On July 9, 1984 Dr Bransky sold the car to his friend Dr John Holland of Peoria Illinois for $5800.
Currently the Porsche shows 102k original miles. The dealer purchased this car from Dr. Holland in 2016 and proceeded to do a high quality glass out respray in the original colour. The floors, battery boxes, pedal box and doglegs (the typical rust areas) are original and solid. He recovered the front seats in the correct material and installed a new dash, otherwise, the interior is original and in very nice condition. New seals were installed along with Hella 128 fog lights when the car was reassembled. The engine was removed to install new fuel lines, reseal various leaks and install a new clutch. The gearbox and linkage are all in perfect working order. New brakes and flex lines were installed.
During the seller’s ownership, he completed the restoration. The suspension was removed, plated, powder coated and rebushed. The floors and underside of the car were resprayed with Wurth SKS. The wheels were restored by GWP to their correct satin finish. New Dunlop tires have just been fitted that are correct as per the COA. The engine was removed and detailed. He did not rebuild it due to the compression and leak down numbers being very good. He replaced the headlights with European versions from Sierra Madre, deleted the front bumperettes and crash bars, replaced the rear bumperettes with earlier chrome versions, fitted an earlier silver decklid and installed a period correct Racemark steering wheel. All of the original parts are in excellent condition and are included with the car. All lights and systems are in working order (including the AC) except for the fog lights, radio and clock.
Additionally, new fluids, filters, Odyssey batteries, hood and decklid shocks have been installed.
Numbers match on engine, transmission, body panels and the restored Fuchs are original to the car. This car runs, drives and performs without issue.
