– Single ownership from new, showing only 6,022 km

– Ordered new by car designer Sotiris Kovos, first registered in Italy and delivered by Porsche Torino
– Fully documented history with service stamps and invoices, exceptional condition

Daytona Automobil presents a 2008 Porsche 997 GT3 RS MK1, an exceptionally preserved, single-owner example finished in RS Orange, one of the defining colours of the model and now one of the most recognizable hues in Porsche GT heritage. This car shows only 6,022 km from new and remains in remarkable condition, retaining full documentation, books, and an unbroken service history from new.

The car was ordered new by Sotiris Kovos, an internationally known automotive designer responsible for models such as the Lexus SC 430. It was produced on February 7, 2008, and delivered to Mr. Kovos on March 20, 2008, through Porsche Torino for the Italian market (Code C07). The car remained in his possession until acquired by Daytona Automobil, marking the first change of ownership since new.

This GT3 RS has never been used on track and has always been carefully maintained and stored, which is reflected in its outstanding condition. The paintwork is almost free of stone chips, and both the body and interior present far above what would be expected even for a car with such low mileage.

Mechanically, the car remains unmodified. The only recorded repair in its life was a very minor gearbox oil leak fixed by Porsche Torino in 2020 at a cost of approximately €955, confirming that the issue was minor and handled properly by the official dealer network.

The 997.1 GT3 RS was only produced between 2007 and 2008 and marked a significant evolution in Porsche’s motorsport-derived 911 lineage. Powered by the 3.6-litre Mezger flat-six, it produces 415 hp at 7,600 rpm and drives the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The RS weighed approximately 20 kg less than the GT3, thanks to weight-saving measures including a carbon fibre rear wing, plastic rear window, and lightweight rear lid.

This example retains its factory specification, including:
– RS Orange paintwork with standard RS livery along the lower body sides
– Carrera GT-style bucket seats (384 and 385)
– Roll cage (XSM)
– 6-point harnesses (option XSJ)
– Sport Chrono Package (639)
– Tinted windscreen top (567)
– CD radio CDR-24 (694)
– Black instrument dials (25)

Only two standard no-cost colours were available on the 997.1 RS, silver and black, while Orange and Green were optional, with RS Orange becoming emblematic of the model.

The car’s history and maintenance record are fully documented, with complete service stamps and invoices exclusively from Porsche Torino until its acquisition. Its preservation, mileage, and single-ownership provenance make it one of the best 997.1 GT3 RS examples we know of.

To prepare the car for sale, a comprehensive service was recently carried out at our trusted Porsche specialist, including a major service with engine oil and pollen filter replacement, air filter replacement, brake fluid change, spark plug replacement, gearbox oil change, and drive belt replacement.
