FIAT 750 SPIDER MORETTI
The project 750 Spider based on the Fiat 600D worked by the coach builder Moretti, represents another masterpiece of the Italian designer Giovanni Michelotti. Produced approximately in 20 units between Spider and Coupe, probably only a couple of pre series were built for the exhibitions.

This Moretti in question is exactly one of these pre series, in particular the car used for the exhibition “Salone dell’automobile di Torino” on 1960. The pre series has some stylistic differences from the limited standard production, the most relevant is the difference from the front chromed grill used on the other cars, here we find two moldings.

Incredible rare car and object with high value collectible not only for the units built but so for the conditions and history. The 750 Spider was sold at the first owner after the exhibition in Torino and the owner has asked factory to install a more sportive 3 spoke steering wheel and to change the color from white to red. From the first owner only other three users result from the documents who have always used the car with excellent maintenance and taking care of it.

FIAT 750 SPIDER MORETTI
Presentata al salone di Torino nei primissimi anni ‘60, la Fiat 600D carrozzata Moretti e denominata 750 Spider rappresenta l’ennesimo capolavoro del designer italiano Giovanni Michelotti. Vennero prodotti in tutto circa 20 esemplari tra coupe e spider e probabilmente un paio soltanto di pre serie destinate alle presentazioni ufficiali.

L’esemplare proposto è proprio una di queste pre serie, nello specifico esattamente quella utilizzata per la presentazione al Salone di Torino e differisce dagli esemplari in serie, ad oggi già introvabili di per se, sotto vari aspetti stilistici (tra i più significativi la presenza di due modanature sul frontale al posto di una griglia cromata).

Di alto valore collezionistico, sia per rarità, storia, documentazione e condizioni, questa Moretti venne acquistata dal primo proprietario dopo l’esposizione a Torino, lo stesso chiese al costruttore di cambiarne la verniciatura da bianca a rossa e di installare un volante sportivo Moretti a 3 razze. Da allora risulta averne soltanto altri 3 proprietari che l’hanno sempre custodita gelosamente e curata scrupolosamente.
