Description
The Mercedes 560 SEL which comes on the market in 1985, is the top version of the W126 generation. Mercedes built 75.000 examples between 1985 and 1991, and compared to its predecessor W116, this S-class looks much more elegant and modern. The very reliable V8 engine has a capacity of 5547 cc and offers 300 bhp. The performance of this 5,16 meter long limousine is excellent, as it reaches 100 kph within 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 238 kph. And all this in utter comfort.
The example we are offering for sale is delivered new in 1989 to the Iranian Embassy in Tokyo. The car has been perfectly maintained and comes with a fully stamped service book as you may expect from an CD car. Ordered in the classy colour combination of Arctic White with blue full leather upholstery, and still mostly in beautiful first paint. The interior looks like it's not been used a lot, and everything works as it should. For a 33 years old car, it comes with quite some (optional) luxury : heated front seats, electrical sliding and tilting sunroof, Thermoking climate control and an electrically operated adjustment of the rear seats. The condition of the 560 SEL is excellent and is the best proof of the low mileage of only 78.218 km.
This is a lot of car for the money, and finding one in this exceptional original condition won't be easy - certainly not at this price level. If you fancy a classic car with a big V8 and lots of space and luxury, and which gives you a proper royal feeling, then this is one to consider. A test drive will only confirm.
