Description

Chassis No. ZA9DE21A0WLA12996

Designed by Marcello Gandini for Bertone, the Diablo succeeded the Countach. With an aluminum chassis and body, a 5.7-liter V12 engine, and all-wheel drive, it became the fastest supercar in the world in the early 1990s, surpassing the Ferrari F40 and Porsche 959. In 1995, the SV model-short for Super Veloce, or "Super Fast," named as a tribute to the Lamborghini Miura, the ancestor of modern supercars-fittingly produced 510 CV and reached a top speed of 330 km/h.

Ordered by Tredwell S.A.M. Lamborghini in Monaco, along with a handful of other models that were fully customized for the dealership's 1997 showroom opening, this car stood out even among the already rare 346 Diablo SVs produced. The unique Pearl White SV color was selected from a PPG chart at AFN in Chiswick, U.K., and to suit the exclusivity of Monaco's clientele, the car was fitted with a full leather interior, upgraded audio, and silver wheels instead of black.

This 1998 model-year car, with pop-up headlights, was first kept on display-vintage photographs and a video of it from that period are included in the file-before it was delivered new to its first owner, a Monaco resident, on 4 May 1999.

In 2001, the car moved to Belgium, joining its second owner in Bruges, who cared for it for almost fifteen years before it became part of the renowned Lamborghini collection of Jacques Peirs, known for owning several top-of-the-range models, including multiple Diablos, an LM002, and a Countach. In 2022, the current owner acquired it, and it subsequently became part of a high-level, prestigious collection.

This Diablo SV is presented today with just 35,570 km from new on the odometer, verified by the official Belgian Car-Pass and recorded during the vehicle's regular inspections. This low mileage has allowed the car to retain its original paint, which has been measured and confirmed to be authentic.

It is offered with its Driver's Handbook and Warranty and Maintenance book, stamped by the original dealer as well as by P3 Automobiles S.A. in Monaco, and regularly by the renowned Belgian specialists JAC Cars in 2004, 2006, and 2007, all kept in their original leather pouch. It is also accompanied by the aforementioned Belgian Car-Pass and a photocopy of its Certificate of Conformity.

This Lamborghini Diablo SV stands apart as a uniquely specified example, finished in its specially created Pearl White SV color. Nearly 30 years later, its exceptionally low mileage, outstanding condition, and remarkable originality make it a stand out among its peers and among the most collectible Diablo SVs ever produced.
