Description
As one of only 6’121 convertibles built, this Mustang, with its 5.7 litre V8 was delivered in 1971 to Newark in New Jersey. On the 1st July 1972 the car was registered in Switzerland for the first time. Probably early on, the convertible was repainted from its original “grabber green” metallic to the current red and at the same time received the currently installed front sports seats. When exactly this took place, is not known. When the Mustang was acquired by a previous owner 40 years ago, it already sported this configuration. As far as we know the car was then taken over, still with a very low mileage, and always used as “Sunday driver” on special occasions. Therefore the 2’800 kilometres shown probably correspond to a total mileage of 102’800 kilometres. The engine is running very well, and the automatic gearbox is shifting without any issues. The coachwork and interior are in decent condition and the last veteran MOT was completed in September 2018.
