Some cars do not simply appear. They are developed with a clear purpose. In the case of the Ford GT, that purpose was closely tied to Ford’s centennial anniversary. The brand wanted to demonstrate both its technical capabilities and its racing heritage. The result first appeared as a concept and soon after as a production model: the Ford GT. A car that visually references the past, yet was engineered and built entirely with modern technology.

This particular example is from the 2006 model year and is finished in Tungsten Grey, a color of which factory records indicate only 541 cars were produced that year. It is a restrained shade that suits the lines of the GT perfectly, especially in combination with the silver painted racing stripes. The overall effect gives this now legendary Ford a presence that feels purposeful rather than flashy, exactly what many enthusiasts look for in this model.

*Specification with all factory options*
This Ford GT was delivered with all four available factory options. That includes the McIntosh audio system developed specifically for the model. It is also equipped with the lightweight forged BBS wheels, gray painted brake calipers, and the previously mentioned striping. These options represented a significant portion of the original price and today are widely regarded as highly desirable among collectors.

Maintenance has been carried out consistently and all factory recalls have been completed according to the documentation. Exactly as it should be and as you would expect from a car in this segment. *Engineering with a distinct character*
The Ford GT was built in a period when Ford wanted to demonstrate that it could do far more than produce volume models. The car therefore received a unique technical platform, including a V8 engine and bodywork featuring aluminum panels. The 5.4 liter V8 is a remarkable powerplant and fitted with a supercharger. With approximately 558 horsepower and a six speed manual transmission, it delivers a pure driving experience exactly as enthusiasts expect from a car of this caliber. Zero to sixty in about 3.8 seconds and a top speed of roughly 205 miles per hour underline its performance. Just as important is the experience itself: the sound of this V8 is breathtaking, every single drive.

The Ford GT was produced for only a few years and in relatively limited numbers. That makes the model highly sought after today. This example, finished in a rare color combination and equipped with the full option list, fits that profile perfectly.
