The 1970s were a turbulent time in Maranello. Ferrari had to respond to the rising competition from Lamborghini (with the Countach) and Porsche (with the 911 Turbo). The era of large V12 engines was giving way to more compact, V8-powered sports cars. Ferrari needed an answer—and what an answer it was: the Ferrari 308 GTS.

At the Cool Classic Club, we have an exceptional example on display in our Clubhuys: a 1978 Ferrari 308 GTS, originally delivered in the United States. This particular car underwent a complete nut-and-bolt restoration. It has been rebuilt down to the smallest detail, with meticulous attention given to every aspect of its engineering.

Once the car made its way to the Netherlands, a dedicated owner was ready to welcome it with open arms. A restoration project of this caliber demands expert craftsmanship, which is why the car was completely rebuilt by specialists. In 2024, it received its Dutch registration. After the initial break-in miles, the final refinements and improvements were carried out, ironing out any teething issues and making this Ferrari an absolute standout.
