Description
During the 1960s, Datsun realized the importance of offering affordable sports cars to compete mainly with English and Italian brands.
The company produced the successful series of Fairlady roadsters and work began on a new line of GT cars that would be stylish, innovative, fast, and relatively inexpensive.
The Datsun 240Z was introduced in 1970. The 6-cylinder engine was a derivation of the Datsun 1600 ‘four’.
With 153 ps and 146 pound-feet of torque, the Z could accelerate from 0-100 in just 8 seconds with a top speed of 201 km/h.
This 1 owner, "Avocado Green 240Z" is a straight original example and unrestored (only 2nd paint), over Brown (Butterscotch) interior, exhibiting good panel fit and equipped with its original-spec inline 6-cylinder motor and a manual transmission.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via its original 2.4 liter 6-cylinder engine, which delivers an exciting 113 kW / 153 ps.
With independent suspension and rack & pinion steering, this Z delivers performance and handling that made these cars legendary.
This is a great 'survivor' example of the first generation Z-cars, and in my opinion a good investment for the future!
