With a list price of 126,500 Francs, including an automatic gearbox, the futuristic BMW850i with its 300 hp, 5 litre V12, was far from being a cheap entry into the world of luxury coupés. For the hefty outlay the prospective new owner got a full leather interior with heated sports seats with electrical adjustment and memory to the front, air conditioning, electrically operated blinds for the rear window, electronic damper adjustment, an alarm system and other features as standard equipment. This diamond black coupe with its black leather interior was delivered by the BMW agency in Appenzell on the 11th April 1991. After two owners and equipped with a rear parking sensor by the last owner, the car was sold in 2013 with 157,000 kilometres showing, to the vendor. He used the 850i for occasional outings only but nevertheless lavished thorough care and maintenance on the BMW as is documented by receipts exceeding 20’000 Swiss francs. Following current regulations, the car was equipped with daylights and, at the same time, a Blaupunkt Stockholm DAB radio was installed. The beautiful Coupé has now covered 161,000 kilometres, has a nearly complete service booklet and is in very good and well-maintained condition. The last Veteran MOT was completed in August 2021.
