What makes this car unique? Everything. The SZ features a design you wouldn’t expect on a production car. Its sharp lines and angular shapes look more like a prototype than something you’d casually register for the road. Yet this futuristic creation was built in Italy, featuring a body made of advanced thermoplastic composites — revolutionary for its time — mounted on the chassis of the Alfa 75 Group A racer.

Under the hood beats the heart of the legendary 3.0-liter Busso V6 engine. The sound? A mechanical aria that sends shivers down every enthusiast’s spine. Paired with a manual five-speed gearbox, every drive feels like a hot lap around Monza.

This particular Alfa Romeo SZ, production number 771, was originally delivered new in Japan. In 2012, it made its way to the United Kingdom, where it was acquired by a Dutch owner. When he later moved back to the Netherlands, the SZ naturally came along. Since 2023, the car has been officially registered on Dutch license plates.

Since its time in the UK, the SZ has been owned by a dedicated Alfa Romeo specialist. It has been well maintained over the years and remains in excellent technical condition. Yes, it bears a few charming Italian wrinkles here and there — but that’s part of its character.

As the icing on the cake, this SZ comes with a birth certificate, officially confirming its provenance and originality.
