Vehicle description
-----------------------
The Alfa Romeo 1750 Spider Veloce offered here, better known as Duetto Spider, was initially registered on the 28th of February in 1969 in America as one of only 4,665 built vehicles.
The car found its way to Europe years later and was part of a Swiss car collection in Romanshorn on Lake Constance where it was driven and maintained for several years. In 2016 the car made its way from Switzerland to Stuttgart, to its current owner who had the car overhauled technically and has taken care of it since.
The Duetto Spider has a Classic Data certificate which describes the car as "largely original, with only minor signs of use" and gives it a grade 2+. The paint was redone prior to its delivery to Stuttgart.
The car presents itself beautifully in its Rosso Farina (AR 514) paint with full black leather interior. The chrome steel bumpers, 14" rims, three-spoke steering wheel and wheel covers with large black Alfa Romeo circles fully complete the image of this gorgeous 1750 Veloce Duetto Spider.

History of the series
-------------------------
The Alfa Romeo Spider was launched to the public at the Geneva Motorshow in March 1966 and proved to be an instant success due to its “Pininfarina” styling and “round tail” rear end.
Produced until the early 1990s, the spider is considered one of Alfa’s greatest successes. The Spider shares many of the Alfa Giulia mechanicals including twin cam inline four-cylinder engine and independent front and solid axle rear suspension.
The Spider was one of the first sports cars to incorporate front and rear crumple zones. In 1968 Alfa Romeo introduced the more powerful 1750 Spider Veloce. Powered by a 1,779cc twin cam engine mated to a five speed manual gearbox, this gave the Spider a top speed of 118 mph from its 118hp engine.
