Based on a Lambretta Model D, this original machine was modified to take part in the scooter races in vogue in the 1950s. The frame, engine and transmission are recognisably from a Model D, but everything else was radically altered, using traditional methods but more modern parts such as a double saddle allowing the rider to adopt a position leaning forward, a fuel tank leading on from the handsome streamlined headlamp, and, at the rear, a fairing with the racing number. The raised exhaust rounds off this specially-built model, reflecting the ingenuity driven by the passion of racing. The entire machine has been very well preserved, as if it had just finished its last race.
