When Kremer Racing brought out its custom-bodied Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race car last year, they promised one for the road as well — and a year later, it’s finally here. Like its racing counterpart, Kremer’s first ever road car, the K3R, is modelled after the Le Mans-winning 1979 Kremer Porsche 935 K3. Although based on the Porsche 997 Turbo, the K3R doesn’t look it, as its custom body features a slant nose, beefy squared-off fender flares, a massive rear wing, and a length and width approximately 500mm wider and 100mm longer than the standard model, respectively. While the specially tuned Bilstein sports suspension is new as well, the car is fitted with a standard 997 bi-turbo engine and the basic interior, both of which can be upgraded, converted, and personalised at an additional cost — although the base price has yet to be announced. If you already own a 997 and want it Kremer-fied, the company is also willing to upgrade and convert it for you. With so many options, it’s a matter of just picking what best suits you…
