Taking the edge off
Unlike the track-oriented Panigale, the Supersport is designed very much for spirited use of the road, with a touch more comfort in mind – you’ll notice the larger (and rather striking) fairing to better protect the rider from the wind, and the broader, 16-litre fuel tank, making medium- to long-distance journeys more viable. That’s not to say it’s lost its mojo, however. Powering the bike is a 937cc twin-cylinder engine developing 113bhp, while the ‘hotter’ Supersport S variant receives Ducati’s fully adjustable Öhlins suspension and the marque’s signature ‘Quick Shift’ system. For those with a cross-country, traffic-free commute, day-to-day motorcycling has never looked so tempting.
