Sympathetically referred to as the 540K’s little brother, the W142 was available in a wide range of body styles, which even included a military version.
The most exclusive of these was the 2+1 seater Cabriolet, of which only 30 units were produced.
This example rolled out of the now-defunct Mannheim factory in 1938. Unfortunately, no records exist of the car during the WW2 period. However, in recent years, it underwent a complete nut-and-bolt restoration, returning it to as-new condition.
