Chassis No. 0F03M481206

The 1970 Shelby Mustangs were leftovers from the 1969 series, with chin spoilers and black stripes added, and their VINs changed appropriately to reflect the new model year. According to its Marti Report, this car, one of only 57 1970 GT350 convertibles produced, was built in February 1969, finished in Acapulco Blue with black Clarion knit and Corinthian vinyl seats and white vinyl top, as well as FMX Cruise-O-Matic transmission, power front disc brakes, power steering, AM radio, Deluxe seatbelts, color-keyed racing mirrors, tachometer, and full tinted glass. The Marti Report further notes that this was one of only four GT350 convertibles built in 1970 in this color, and one of only two of those with this color interior. It was originally shipped for sale to Fogg Motors of New Westminster, British Columbia, which dealt it to Neil H.J. Watt, then of West Vancouver. Mr. Watt retained the car as he moved to Toronto and then south to Florida, and in 2005 it was finally sold to Jim Taylor, its second private owner.

Ziebarted when new, the GT350 survived its years in Canada extremely well; it remains basically original except for a repaint in the correct color, and still has all its original sheet metal, including the floors and torque boxes. The body retains the original fiberglass panels and Lucas fog lamps, while under the hood, the 351 Windsor V-8 is equipped with an original aluminum intake manifold and original air cleaner. Koni shock absorbers have been added. The correct new Shelby wheels are shod in Goodyear GT Polyglas tires.

Within the car, the interior remains very original, including the original seat upholstery, door panels, and carpeting, as well as factory original console gauges and the correct retractors for the shoulder harnesses. Even the original windshield, glass rear window in the top, and top boot are all intact. At the time of cataloging, the car displayed 77,187 miles. It is complete with a space saver spare, jack, and lug wrench, as well as the original production sheet, Shelby invoice and order form, Ford Ownercard, and other documentation from Mr. Watt's ownership.
