Beschreibung
One of the most outstanding luxury cars of the 1920s was for sure the Rolls-Royce Phantom One. Introduced at the company's 14/15 Conduit St. London showrooms during May 1925, the 'New Phantom' was Rolls-Royce's second 40/50 HP model. The all new 6-cylinder OHV with capacity of 7.668 cm³ succeeded the famous Silver Ghost and it remained in production in the UK until 1929, by which time some 2.269 chassis had been delivered.
This truly delightful Phantom 20KR is one of the second to last series of Phantom I. The car is already equipped with some great modifications like aluminium cylinder head, flexible engine suspension and higher radiator. It comes to market after only four keeper from new, showing only 128.000 documented miles. The original All-Weather Tourer body has been built by renowned coachbuilder Park Ward of London using Jacques Saoutchik's design called "La Baule”. It comes complete with impeccable provenance. The first of many invoices in the car's fascinating history file is dated back to October 8, 1937. Never completely restored, properly maintained, running as it should, benefiting of new cylinder head recently fitted, is looking now for its new custodian.
