• 'Turbo Look' (M491) factory package
• 50-hour conservative detailing and recent service
According to Porsche records, this Porsche 911 Speedster left the factory in Stuttgart on June 1, 1989, and was originally delivered to a German owner. The first owner selected several factory options, balancing comfort and performance, including electronically height-adjustable seats, an upgraded battery, adjustable seat heating, an alarm system, and the desirable (M491) factory Turbo Look package.
The car remained with its original German owner for majority of its life before being sold in France in 2016. Remarkably well preserved, it retains its factory paintwork, body, and interior, a rare find among classic Porsches, many of which have been refinished over time. The car is fully numbers-matching and is accompanied by its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
Introduced for the 1989 model year, the 911 Speedster marked the revival of a legendary name within the Porsche lineage. Based on the Carrera 3.2 of the G-body series, it paid tribute to the iconic Porsche 356 Speedster combining classic design cues with the 911 body. It featured low-cut windshield, double-hump rear cover, and lightweight manually operated soft top, while the interior was simplified with the removal of the rear seats to save weight.
Powered by a 3.2-litre air-cooled flat-six engine producing 231 horsepower and paired with a 5-speed transmission, the Speedster could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h. Produced in just 2,104 units, it remains one of the most collectible variants of the G-body generation.
More than just a limited-production sports car, the Speedster embodies a purist approach to open-top motoring. With its combination of rarity, originality, and iconic design, this example represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a highly ollectible and increasingly sought-after model from Porsche’s late G-series production.
