Beschreibung

An outstanding example of Aston Martin’s iconic DB4 Series II Sports Saloon, this beautifully restored car represents the perfect exemple of early 1960s British grand touring. Showing 29 900 km, it is offered today with an extended documentation and a particularly interesting ownership history.

According to the accompanying copy guarantee form, this left-hand drive DB4 (chassis 326/L) was delivered new in May 1960 by Garage Mirabeau in Paris and first owned by Mr André Minangoy in Vence, France. The car left the factory finished in its original and elegant Snow Shadow Grey, complemented by red Connolly leather, fully chromed wheels, and a Motorola radio, all highly desirable period specifications.

Approaching the late 1980's, the car left its first ownership moving to Germany to another Aston Martin enthusiast. The car remained in in Germany from 2007 to 2022, during which time it was kept in "static" condition. Records indicate that it last saw public road use in the mid-1990s, and was still equipped with its previous French tax disc expiring in late 1992. This extended period of preservation provided a strong foundation for its subsequent restoration.

In 2022, the DB4 was sold through Bonhams auctions, opening a new chapter of the history of this DB4. Following the auction, the car underwent a major restoration over several months, carried out with great care to respect every aspects of the car and period correctness.

Today, it is presented as a superb example of the model, due to it's authentic character with an outstanding cosmetic and mechanical condition.

A rare opportunity to acquire a fully restored, left-hand drive DB4 Series II with clear provenance, elegant factory specification, and exceptional collector desirability, equally suited to a private collection, concours display, or refined grand touring.
