The Lambretta Model D was quite similar to the Model C, which marked a greater advance over the B. The rear frame was now made of a single tube, the upper section of which wrapped around the fuel tank. The engine was a structural element and the rear suspension had an extra spring. The Lambretta scooter had come of age, a development marked by a strong growth in sales.
This example is in charming condition, which is either original or the result of an older restoration that has acquired the patina of passing time. It comes with both saddles, its lighting and, on the front mudguard, a remarkable mascot symbolizing a fighter plane.
