The Lambretta B was an evolution of the Model A, the very first scooter produced by Innocenti in 1947. It had improved rear suspension and larger wheels, for greater comfort. The gearchange was now by means of a twist grip on the handlebars, and the fuel tank was larger.
This well-preserved example had apparently only been repainted before it joined the collection in the 1990s. It still has its old licence plate, BO 20778, from the Bologna region. Otherwise, it is complete and still has the 'Lambretta' badge on its rear luggage box; it presents the advantage of being one of the first Lambrettas built, making it rare as well as authentic.
