CARTIER MINUTE REPEATING DESK CLOCK - ORIGINAL BOX
Cartier, No. 1315. Made circa 1910.
Very fine and extremely rare, minute-repeating, silver and enamel, keyless desk clock. Accompanied
by the original Carter gold-tooled green morocco box.
Square, the upper section entirely decorated with translucent green guilloche enamel with
white champlevé enamel borders, the rectangular base overlaid with translucent violet guilloche
enamel with white champlevé enamel borders, the sides of the base with gold paillon
wreath garlands, yellow gold bezel engraved with a repeated pattern, large winding crown/
repeating button decorated with stripes of white and violet enamel and set with a cabochon
nephrite.
Matte silver with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, sunray engine-turned center.
Gold fleur-de-lys hands.
68 mm., circular, matte gilt, jeweled to the center, straight line lever escapement, notched
bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs
activated by depressing the winding crown.
