We have a very fine 1968 Volvo Amazon. This Swedish supplied car always remained part of the same family. In the past the car was fully mechanically and body restored and has stayed in a very good and original condition.

The bodywork has been very neatly maintained. The correctly aligned panelwork is nice and thin. The full respray has stood the test of time with flying colours. The original wheels are shod in correctly sized good quality tyres.

The interior has beautifully appointed good, quality black carpets. All gauges and switching gear is good working condition. The same goes for the original steering wheel and gearstick. The car even still sports its original radio.

The mechanical side was extensively taken care of during the restoration. Open the bonnet and you are met with a beautifully rigged out engine bay with the characteristic red colour typifying B18 engine blocks. It has a manual 4-speed gearbox, which works smoothly and precisely with good gear ratios. All new suspension and brakes were fitted during the restoration, including support arms, suspension bushes, shocks and springs. This has left us with an Amazon that drives as you would rightly expect. Nothing against front wheel drive, but rear wheel drive cars are undoubtably better balanced. After driving this Volvo a few feet you realise precisely why the Amazon is still such a popular classic car.

The car comes with a large file containing well documented descriptions of the work carried out as well as the original manuals.
