Description
The Morris Minor was designed under the leadership of Alec Issigonis and over 1.3 million examples were manufactured between 1948 and 1971. Initially available as a two-door saloon and convertible, the range was subsequently expanded to include a four-door saloon in 1950 and wood-framed estate named the Traveller in 1952.
These charming and very English family cars were a typical sight on the roads for decades and for good reason. Their simplicity, practicality and price made them extremely popular. Powered by 1098cc engine producing 48bhp the Minor was capable of 77mph whilst still returning a claimed 38mpg.
The Morris Traveller offered here at Autostorico was first registered on 13th April 1962 and is finished in Smoke Grey with Grey and Blue interior. Having covered an indicated 57,235 miles this very original example was purchased by its current family in 1986. The car has be maintained regardless of cost with recent works carried out by Morris Minor Workshop of Stonegate, East Sussex including a new clutch, rear suspension overhaul, new rear tyres and a full service.
Offered for sale with a current V5 registration document, current MOT valid until April 2023, numerous invoices and other related material.
This lovely Traveller presents very and is a joy to drive and will certainly appreciate further over time.
Viewing strictly by appointment only.
