EXTERIOR:
Arguably the most misunderstood iteration of the mid engine Ferrari the 348 TS is still a striking piece of design 30 years after its launch. This example has the mixture of all the supercar aspects of any prancing horse which add to its looks with its steeply raked nose, deep side intakes and iconic pop up headlights. The open top 'targa style' wedge shaped shaped silhouette was an instant classic that epitomised an era of flair and innovation at Maranello.

This cherished example presents in excellent condition; the factory designated coat of the Rosso Corsa looks sensational and shows with a superb depth, with nothing more than a few carefully touched in stonechips to detract from the wonderfully vibrant finish.

INTERIOR:
Continuing the classic feel of the 348 TS this example is upholstered in a stunning Crema leather, spanning the lower dashboard, doors and full leather seats. With a low slung driving position they provide excellent support for both driver and passenger and give the interior of the Ferrari a real luxurious feel. Adding to the sense of occasion is the magnificent open gate gear stick; with its chrome finish it sits pride of place in the centre of the car and is a welcome sight in a modern world of paddle shifters.

Helping to keep the weight of the 348 to a minimum the equipment list is basic but effective, with electric windows, and targa style roof means the car has all the essentials for a long distance road trip or short weekend blast with that open top driving that has to be experienced. Being mid-engine the storage space is at the front and provides adequate space for a couple of weekend bags, as well as housing the original leather tool kit that's still present with the car.

ENGINE:
Featuring a naturally aspirated 3.4-litre version of the quad-cam engine, the 348 follows in the format of Ferrari's legendary mid engine V8 layout. As with its predecessors, the model number was derived from this configuration 3.4L V8 (348), with the first two digits being the displacement of the engine and the third being the number of cylinders. The engine, had a power output of 296 hp, was mounted longitudinally and coupled to a transverse manual gearbox, like the Mondial T with which the 348 shared many components.

Having covered a well maintained 60k miles the engine is still tight and has the V8 rumble it rolled out of the showroom with.

WHEELS:
The classic 5 spoke wheels are in unmarked condition wrapped in a set of Pirelli P Zero tyres 215/50ZR17 - all of which show plenty of tread.

The brakes perform as they should, with no adverse pitch, pull or drone.

HISTORY FILE:
First registered on 01/09/1990 this 348 TS has enjoyed careful ownership throughout its life. Upon inspecting the extensive history file there are a number of invoices carried out by highly regarded specialists, backed up by a healthy amount of maintenance stamps showing routine servicing carried out from new. Having just returned from an annual service by SMDG on the 29/11/21 - which included oil, filters and a wheel bearing overhaul - this well cared for Ferrari is ready to be driven and enjoyed by its next custodian.

The original leather owners wallet with all supporting handbooks are present in the history file with 13 services noted for in the service book alongside a spare key and V5.
