The underside is also worth checking: not a speck of rust, just a thin protective layer of wax, new Bilstein shock absorbers, new springs and exhaust, etc. Everything is truly belle-simo.

The history is also complete: original maintenance and instruction booklets, invoices, and even the original brochures are included. This isn't a "refurbished" classic, but an honestly preserved example. You may know that we're always looking for cars that meet these criteria, but honestly, that's becoming increasingly difficult. Sommige auto’s overstijgen hun categorie. Deze Alfa Romeo Spider Type 4 uit december 1992 is daar een overtuigend voorbeeld van. Met slechts 51.204 kilometer gereden, uitgevoerd in het zeldzame Vinaccia Red Metallic en gecombineerd met een chique crème interieur, betreft het hier een Spider van een niveau dat nog maar zelden wordt aangetroffen.

De auto werd nieuw geleverd in Duitsland en bleef daar zijn hele leven bij slechts twee eigenaren, die de Spider met uitzonderlijke zorg hebben gekoesterd. Pas vorig jaar kwam hij naar Nederland. Niet uit onvrede met de auto, maar simpelweg omdat de vorige eigenaar er door zijn postuur niet optimaal in kon zitten, konden wij de auto overnemen. Hetgeen weer een zeldzaam geluksmoment voor de volgende liefhebber kan worden natuurlijk.

Zelfs het ongebruikte reservewiel met originele Pirelli eerste montage band is nog aanwezig — een detail dat veel zegt over hoe zorgvuldig deze Spider is bewaard. Ook de onderkant is een check waard: geen spatje roest, alleen een dunne beschermende waxlaag, nieuwe Bilstein schokdempers, nieuwe veren en uitlaat etc. Alles is echt bellissimo voor elkaar.

Ook de historie is compleet: originele onderhouds- en instructieboekjes, facturen én zelfs de oorspronkelijke folders zijn aanwezig. Dit is geen “opgeknapte” klassieker, maar een eerlijk bewaard exemplaar. Wellicht weet u dat we altijd op zoek zijn naar auto’s die aan deze criteria moeten voldoen, maar eerlijk gezegd wordt dat steeds moeilijker. Daarom zijn we echt gelukkig met deze prachtige vondst.

Dankzij de beproefde Type 4-techniek, het Bosch injectiesysteem en de elektronische ontsteking is deze Spider niet alleen een verzamelobject, maar ook een auto die met vertrouwen gebruikt kan worden.
