Daytona Automobil presents a 2007 Audi RS4 Cabriolet (B7), an exceptionally original and low-mileage example of what has become one of Audi’s most desirable modern performance cars. With only 41,775 km from new, this car stands out not only for its condition but also for its very unique specification.
Delivered new by Autowelt König GmbH, Wunsiedel, on 8 June 2006, it has had one owner until we purchased it. Throughout its life, it has been maintained exclusively by authorised Audi dealers, with full documentation, books, manuals and service history present.
This RS4 Cabriolet is finished in Phantom Black Pearl Effect with a black soft top, paired with a rare Audi Exclusive interior in black Valcona leather featuring Carmine Red leather inserts and matching Carmine Red stitching. The colour balance is striking yet refined. Even the floor mats were ordered through Audi Exclusive, trimmed with Carmine Red leather piping and a stitched RS 4 logo.
Significantly, the car retains its entire factory paintwork with no repainted panels at all. This is extremely unusual for the B7 RS4, as most cars have at minimum repainted front bumpers or bonnets due to common stone chipping. Here, the condition is consistent with careful ownership: very few stone chips, entirely accident-free, and clearly preserved as a collector’s example.
Specification is where this car truly differentiates itself. Among the most desirable features are:
– RS bucket seats, the most sought-after seating option for the B7
– Dynamic Ride Control (DRC), the mechanical interlinked suspension system that delivers the most authentic RS4 driving character
– Ceramic brakes, rarely specified on the Cabriolet and one of the most significant performance options
– Manual gearbox (standard on all B7 RS4s but fundamental to its character)
Other notable optional equipment includes seat heating, multifunction steering wheel, piano black interior inlays, carbon engine trim, wind deflector, and garage door opener to name a few options. The cabin presents as clean, tight, and consistent with the low mileage.
The B7 RS4 Cabriolet is powered by Audi’s iconic 4.2-litre naturally aspirated V8, producing 420 hp and revving to 8,250 rpm. It is one of the last high-revving German V8s of its era. The combination of a manual gearbox, quattro permanent all-wheel drive, mechanical DRC suspension and a naturally aspirated engine gives a truly unique driving experience being a convertible. Production numbers were low compared to the RS4 Sedan and Avant, and low-mileage, original-paint, well-specified cars are increasingly rare these days.
This is one of the most compelling RS4 Cabriolets to surface in recent years in our opinion: exceptionally low mileage, fully original paint, Audi Exclusive interior, ceramic brakes, RS bucket seats, DRC, complete authorised Audi service history, and only one owner. All in all a B7 RS4 Cabriolet in true collector-grade condition with an outstanding specification.
