Description
BMW has held the trademark rights to Rolls-Royce since 28 July 1998. After initial difficulties, the first completely new Rolls-Royce was built in Goodwood in the south of England under the project name RR01. The start-up phase ended on 3 January 2003 and, after four years of development, the result – the Phantom – was presented. The vehicle's name is in keeping with Rolls-Royce tradition, as it is already the seventh model to bear the Phantom name. Technically, however, it has nothing in common with the Phantom VI of the same name, which was built until 1991. Our example with chassis number UX00063 is one of the first production vehicles, was delivered to Switzerland, registered for the first time on 17 September 2003 and handed over to its first owner by Schmohl AG in Zurich. For a new price of more than CHF 550’000, he received an elegant saloon with a 460 hp 6.75-litre V12 engine, automatic transmission, power steering, park distance control, four-zone air conditioning, electrically adjustable and heated front seats, rear seat heating, a multimedia system with telephone, TV and navigation, umbrellas in the rear doors, picnic tables in the rear, the finest wood trim, the best Connolly leather and much more. In 2018, with around 87’500 km on the clock, the impressive Phantom was taken over by the consignor. He had a set of 21-inch TSW Bathurst wheels fitted and enjoyed driving this luxury liner. With around 121’500 km on the clock, a complete service booklet and its last MOT dating from July 2021, the Rolls-Royce is in good condition and has been well maintained.
