MERCEDES SL 280 “PAGODE” W113 170HP 1969 - The SL model of the W113 generation was initially presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show in 1963 and was produced until 1971. The main designers were Paul Bracq, Béla Barényi, and Friedrich Geiger, who also created a patented hardtop in the development of the model, slightly concave, which inspired the nickname “Pagoda.” The front end features Bosch's vertical “aquarium” headlights and a simple chrome grille dominated by the large three-pointed star on the front panel, paying homage to the 300 SL Roadster. Three versions of the model were marketed: the 230, 250, and 280.
