Description

William I'Anson Ltd are delighted to offer for sale this FIA 2.0 Litre Cup specification, 1965 Porsche 911.

Delivered new to Olof Feldt of Örebro, Sweden, and remained within the same region throughout its early life. 300506 passed through a small number of local owners, including Thilinson Pil (1969) and Thage Ekblom of Kumla, before short periods of ownership with Oskarssons Bil and Gorts Motor AB of Örebr. In November 1970 the car was acquired by Kent Connedal of Karlskoga, who re-registered it locally in April 1971 and retained ownership until March 1972.

Successfully campaigned in historic rallying in the late 1990s and early 2000’s in the ownership of Mikael Dahl and also driven by Torbjörn Henrysson, competing extensively in the FIA European Historic Rally Championship. Between 1999 and 2002, chassis 300506 contested numerous leading European events, including the Historic Vltava Rallye, 1000 Lakes Historic Rally, Rallye Elba Storico, Rally and Sanremo Rally Storico to name a few. In a highly successful 2002 season, it won the European Historic Rally Championship with multiple podium finishes, and several Class victories

Acquired by the current owner in 2021, 300506 has been campaigned successfully in modern historic circuit racing, most notably within Peter Auto’s 2.0L Cup. Highlights include an outright win in the 2.0L Cup at the Spa Classic and class victory in the prestigious 6 Hours of Spa, thus demonstrating the car’s competitiveness at the highest level of contemporary historic racing.

In 2023, 300503 underwent a complete, no-expense-spared restoration, carried out with a clear emphasis on keeping originality. Well documented, the work included detailed repairs to the bodyshell and repaint in ivory white by Normandale Finishing, the installation of the latest Custom Cages roll-over protection. A new engine and gearbox were supplied and built by Adam Litchig at Maxted-Page producing over 200bhp, with the car assembled maintained by Scott Sport.
