Description

The Porsche 911 3.3 Turbo Coupé offered for sale here was delivered to its first owner, a German living in the USA, on 27 January 1986. The 911 was chequebook-maintained by Porsche until 1995 at 40,411 miles. In the following years, the invoices from the workshops were kept and the chequebook continued to be handwritten. In 2017, the vehicle was imported to Germany. The mileage indicator was demonstrably replaced with a new mileage indicator at 97,139 miles. Since then, the vehicle has only been driven 3,120 km, resulting in a documented total mileage of 159,450 km. Last year the car was in a collection in Stuttgart where it was always looked after. The car has received new tyres, a current Porsche Klassik certificate and fresh services. All invoices and documentation can be viewed on site.

Through regular maintenance and careful hands, the 930 Turbo is now in beautiful original condition. Except for a repaint on the rear left wing as well as on the mirrors, headlight rings and side skirts, it is completely in its original paint. The equipment includes an electric sunroof, electrically adjustable seats, an electric right wing mirror and a leather interior in grey beige. In addition, a steam wheel was installed, with which the boost pressure can be increased.

Technically, the Porsche is in impeccable condition, thanks to regular maintenance there is no repair backlog. Visually, the paintwork is in good condition and the interior has a beautiful patina with no damage. A great original example that can still keep up with more modern cars thanks to its driving performance.

------------------------
History of the series
------------------------
The 911 is considered the epitome of the Porsche brand. The "original model" appeared in 1963 and set new standards in the sports car sector. In 1972, new regulations from the US authority for driving safety made the first major revision necessary, resulting in the distinctive feature of the G model - the bumpers with elastic impact absorbers. In October 1974, the time had finally come: Porsche built its first production sports car with an exhaust gas turbocharger, whereby they could draw on their experience from racing, because a turbo engine had already been used in 1971 in the Porsche 917/30. However, the Type 930 was not the first production car with a turbo; BMW had already beaten them to the punch in autumn 1973 with the 2002 Turbo.

Until 1977, the 911 Turbo was available as a 3.0 litre with 260 hp. When the call for a more powerful version grew louder, Porsche brought the 3.3 litre with 300 hp onto the market from 1978. Externally, the 3.3 is recognisable by the larger rear wing, which creates space for the intercooler and provides more intake air thanks to the larger rubber lip.

With an acceleration of 5.2 s from 0-100 km/h and a top speed of about 250 km/h, the 3.0 litre was Germany's fastest sports car for a long time. From 1984 onwards, it was also possible to increase the engine power of the 3.3 to over 330 hp by means of a factory performance upgrade (WLS). In addition, "normal" 911s with naturally aspirated engines could be converted to the turbo look (WTL) at Porsche, as well as converted as flat-bodies based on the Porsche 935 racing car.
