History:

This Maserati Mistral was delivered new in 1965 to Bologna, Italy. The current owner imported it to France in 2016 (purchase invoice on file). He then undertook a complete restoration. Every part of this car has been replaced or restored. This example has a comprehensive file of invoices detailing the various restoration works carried out.

This car is in excellent condition.

The bodywork is in very good condition and free from corrosion. The alignment and adjustments are good. The gray paint is smooth and has a beautiful depth. The headlight lenses have no particular defects. The chrome has a beautiful shine. The wheels are well preserved. This wheel model is optional and is very rare on the market. There are only about ten examples equipped with these wheels.

Inside, the black leather seats are new. The dashboard has no defects. The headliner is taut. The carpeting and floor mats are in very good condition. The wooden steering wheel is very well preserved. The dashboard instruments are functional.

The 3.7-liter 6-cylinder engine starts normally and revs well. The original engine was completely rebuilt during restoration by a former Maserati mechanic. Since its restoration, the car has only covered 1,000 kilometers. The Lucas fuel injection system has been replaced by three Weber twin-barrel carburetors. The clutch is in very good condition. The 5-speed ZF manual transmission was replaced after the restoration work. The gear changes are precise and smooth. The handling is excellent.
