? History & Condition:
While most 3500 GT coupés were bodied by Touring, the Spyder production was entrusted to Carrozzeria Vignale, based on a design by Giovanni Michelotti. This example is one of only 245 Spyders produced, making it a particularly rare version compared to the coupé variants.

Built in July 1960, this Spyder was delivered new on June 30, 1961, and exported to California, where it was registered the same year. It was later acquired by a Dutch collector in 1989, who kept it until 2014.

During this period (2000/2001), the car underwent a complete restoration, including a full engine rebuild as well as high-quality bodywork and paint. The interior upholstery, soft top, and carpets were also restored.

It was purchased in 2019 at Bonhams by the current owner, who has driven it regularly and maintained it through a marque specialist. Carefully maintained ever since, this Maserati is in superb overall condition and will require no expenses for its future owner.

This example is matching numbers and colors, comes with a Maserati Classiche certificate, as well as an extensive file of invoices and a complete history.
