Lancia 037 Stradale — Possibly one of the finest and most original examples in existence
Delivered new in Germany to Mr. Heinz Harder (see original invoice), this Lancia 037 Stradale has had a remarkably well-documented and careful life. In 1991 it joined the collection of Mr. Hoffman in the Netherlands, before moving to a Swiss owner in 2008 who kept it until 2016, when it was acquired by a well-known Belgian collector.
In 2018, the car was sold to Portugal, where it has been part of the permanent exhibition at the Caramulo Museum — one of its most celebrated highlights.
Showing only 16,000 original, fully documented kilometers, this example retains its original engine, all original panels (each numbered), and it comes with a comprehensive history file, original books, double keys, tool kit, jack, reading light, and all period accessories.
Mechanically perfect and cosmetically exceptional, this Stradale has benefited from a complete service by Baldi Brothers of Turin in 2019, which included new fuel tanks and full mechanical overhaul. More recently, it was completely inspected and detailed by Curated Garage and needs absolutely nothing.
It has also been featured and test-driven by Octane Magazine in Dec 2023, where it was praised as a pristine and beautifully authentic example.
The 037 Stradale is a rare opportunity to experience Lancia’s last pure rear-wheel-drive rally car — built by Abarth and Pininfarina, and still carrying the magic of Group B. Among the 200 homologation cars built, very few remain as genuine, unmolested and beautifully preserved as this one.
A reference car. Possibly one of the best 037 Stradales in the world.
