Description
"The Focus is a compact car designed under Alex Trotman's Ford 2000 plan, which aimed to globalize model development and sell one compact vehicle worldwide, the Focus was primarily designed by Ford of Europe’s German and British teams. The second generation Focus RS is the Focus that Ford originally claimed it was unlikely to manufacture, however they did and the latest ‘Hot hatch’ was born. One of the most controversial aspects of the car was its drivetrain, which remained front, not four-wheel drive. After awarding the car five stars, this is what the team at Auto Express had to say about the new Ford Focus RS when launched: “The engineers have done an amazing job. It’s got storming performance, amazing handling and grip, but also real character thanks to that charismatic five-cylinder engine.”Originally registered on 29th December 2010 this immaculate Ford Focus RS is finished in the striking £630 special metallic option - Ultimate Green. Owned by husband and wife since new, only transferring into her name in 2021 due to bereavement. An incredible service history accompanies this unique 2,621 mile RS, serviced annually (12 times) by the supplying dealer, up to and including January 2022 at 2,466 miles. The car was specified from new with Lux Pack 2, reverse camera, Bluetooth and also benefits from having the Dynamica RS seat upgrade - a must for any Focus and a £7,000 option if fitted retrospectively. It's supplied with a V5C registration document, the original order form, fully stamped service book with matching invoices and all MoTs from new. This Ford Focus RS is in what we can only describe as ‘age defying condition’. Interested parties are advised to inspect the car in person to ascertain the quality of this stunning vehicle. A real collector’s example these cars are fast being recognised as a future classic."
