Description
This 1960 Fiat 600 Jolly exhibits the charming style that was born in 1957 out of the mind of Fiat chairman Gianni Agnelli, who wanted a small vehicle for jaunts to and from his yachts alongside the Italian and French rivieras.
Jolly number 610379 has been in single family ownership since new. The owner of a Fiat dealership in northern Ohio ordered the Jolly as part of his initial inventory and gave the vehicle to his son, who eventually passed it to his own son, the consignor. These owners have used the Jolly sparingly during summers along the freshwater shores of the Great Lakes. Early in its life, the car received a repaint in its original colors to correct issues caused by a protective coating applied for shipping, and it has since undergone refurbishment and regular maintenance to keep it in peak condition. Recent service included new brakes, tires, clutch, and rubber seals; cosmetically, it has been freshened with a new top, wicker seats, and a refinish of the engine compartment to original specifications. The original owner’s manual, parts manual, jack, and tool kit accompany the sale.
In 2016, this Jolly was featured at the AACA Museum in Pennsylvania as part of the “It’s a Small World” exhibit. Today, with the majority of Jollys now lost to time, this single family Fiat 600 Jolly is a rare example of one that prospered through the decades.
