Description
A 'no excuse' example that we've recently purchased direct from a gentleman who's very much car collecting and rock royalty!
Ordered new through H.R. Owen by a Mr A.C. Le Fort and delivered in late 1971. Its factory delivered colour scheme was the very attractive Blu Met. Dino over Pelle Beige leather interior, the same colours the car proudly wears today. In addition, it's one of the few right-hand drive examples that was fitted from new with factory air conditioning.
From 1991 to 1998 it was owned by noted racing driver Digby Martland and in 2005 it was a class winner at the Ferrari Owners Club Concours, at which time it was painted in the more common and less desirable Rosso.
In more recent years the car has been returned to its original colour combination, maintained without regard to cost and awarded its full Ferrari 'Red Book' Classiche certification which confirms the car still retains its original chassis, body, engine and gearbox.
It's accompanied by an original tool roll, handbooks and its history file which contains copies of its original factory and dealer invoices plus MOTs dating back to 1978.
Very few Daytonas tick as many boxes as this particular car and represents fantastic value for money!
