Description

Previously owned by Reggie Jackson with matching numbers and Ferrari Classiche Certified, our Pino Verde on Tobacco interior Ferrari 250 GT Lusso is also a Platinum FCA award winner.

Throughout history, the Ferrari 250 GT Lusso is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever built—a perfect blend of elegant design, refined luxury, and classic Ferrari performance. As the final model in the legendary 250 series, the Lusso (meaning “luxury” in Italian) was introduced as a more comfortable and stylish alternative to Ferrari’s more hardcore sports cars, aimed at wealthy enthusiasts who valued both performance and sophistication.

Designed by Pininfarina and built by Scaglietti, the Lusso’s bodywork is a masterpiece of proportion and grace. Its low, wide stance, long hood, and fastback rear are complemented by delicate chrome detailing and signature Ferrari cues like the oval grille and sculpted fenders. The interior continues the theme of understated luxury, featuring fine leather upholstery, an elegant wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a simple but beautiful dashboard with prominently placed Veglia gauges.

Beneath the Lusso’s hood lies Ferrari’s iconic 3.0-liter Colombo V12 engine, producing around 240 horsepower. Mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox, the engine delivered smooth, linear power and a top speed of approximately 150 mph—impressive for a car of its era. While it wasn’t intended as a race car, the 250 GT Lusso still handled with precision, thanks to its lightweight tubular chassis, front double wishbone suspension, and rear live axle setup.

Ferrari produced only 351 examples of the 250 GT Lusso between 1962 and 1964, making it both rare and highly collectible today. It marked the end of the 250 line while influencing future Ferrari design and ethos. Notably, it was favored by celebrities and collectors alike, with Steve McQueen famously owning one.

The 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso remains a shining example of Ferrari’s golden age—a car that delivers not only timeless beauty but also the thrill and craftsmanship that define the brand’s legacy.
