Mit dem HK 500 trat Facel-Vega das Erbe der großen französischen Marken an und wurde zum französischen Nobelhersteller der frühen 60er Jahre. Beeindruckende Fahrleistungen, eine geschmackvolle Karosserie und jeder erdenkliche Luxus kennzeichneten diese Fahrzeuge, die bei Prominenz und Geldadel hoch im Kurs standen. So besaß u.a. Sir Stirling Moss einen Facel Vega, von dem er als eines seiner Autos sprach, die ihm besonders angenehm in Erinnerung geblieben sind.

Von 1958 bis 1961 wurden nur 458 Fahrzeuge produziert.

Das hier präsentierte Fahrzeug wurde vor einigen Jahren durch einen Fachbetrieb komplett zerlegt und aufwändig „Frame-Off“ restauriert. Die Restaurationsarbeiten betrafen neben Rahmen und Karosserie u.a. den Motor, Getriebe und Differenzial, das Fahrwerk sowie die Innenausstattung. Eine detaillierte Fotodokumentation liegt vor. Das Fahrzeug hat am Salon Privé Concours D´Elegance in London teilgenommen. Dies ist eine seltene Gelegenheit, einen Facel Vega HK 500 in nahezu neuwertigem Zustand zu erwerben! With the HK 500, Facel-Vega took over the legacy of the famous French brands and became the noble French manufacturer of the early 1960s. Impressive driving performance, a tasteful body and every conceivable luxury were the hallmarks of these vehicles, which were highly prized by celebrities and the moneyed aristocracy. Sir Stirling Moss, for example, owned a Facel Vega, which he spoke of as one of the cars he remembered with particular pleasure.

Only 458 units were produced from 1958 to 1961.

The vehicle presented here was completely disassembled and extensively restored "frame-off" by brand specialists a few years ago. In addition to the frame and body, the restoration work included the engine, gearbox and differential, the chassis and the interior. A detailed photo documentation is available. The vehicle participated in the Salon Privé Concours D'Elegance in London.
