Model history
The car in question is propelled by a 24-Valve, 2492 cc, straight six cylinder engine (codenamed M50), churning out 192 BHP.
The new 5 Series (E34) was first unveiled in 1987 and went on sale in 1988. It is a third generation of BMW’s mid-size saloon and a successor to the E28.
The E34 has become a true icon for motoring of its period. Its typical BMW body shape is part of the popular culture from that era. In the eyes of many, it is the definitive BMW in terms of design. The car received some subtle changes for the first time in 1990, while the 12-Valve M20 unit was replaced by a more modern, 24-valve M50. The new engine could be found in the 520i and 525i models, where it developed 150 and 192 horsepower respectively. E34 was also sold as an estate (called Touring in BMW speak) and as a non-compromise performance version called the M5. The E34 went out of production in 1995.

Vehicle history
This BMW 525i offered on auction in September is a truly unique vehicle. It is extremely difficult to find a BMW ordered in Poland in the early 90’s in the hands of a single owner, with less than a 100 000 verifiable kilometers on the clock. The car was regularly serviced at a BMW dealership. The owner of this car has its service book and many invoices to prove its record. The mileage as of today is just 55 000 km. Unlike many cars with such low mileage, which are kept in isolation and not driven at all, this car was used on a regular basis (according to the owner). Body and paint are in very good shape. Two body parts were repainted, namely front left wing and the driver’s door, which was scratched while owner was driving through the gate trying to enter his backyard. This example of the BMW 525i is definitely a very interesting proposition for enthusiasts who value Polish provenance of the car.
