Moto Morini, the famous Bologna Company founded by Alfonso Morini in 1937, began its production with economical models, distinguished by considerable reliability, and then added many sporting models that enjoyed considerable success in all countries and in many specialities. Among the most successful models, we can certainly place the 175 series, presented in 1953. Morini “baptized” their models with the names of the classic card games and the last model of the very successful series of sporty road 175 cc engines was called ‘Tresette’, presented at the end of the 1950s together with the Sprint version, the latter of which had some mechanical improvements such as high compression piston, carburettor with increased diameter and revised exhaust to increase the power to reach 22 hp at the stratospheric speed of 10,000 rpm. All this liveliness was well supported by a generous frame – an open cradle frame in steel tubes and a telescopic fork and swingarm with a pair of hydraulic shock absorbers and two drum brakes with the front double cam, all weighing 125 kg. The Tresette offered in the Auction is restored, in working order, in good condition and with documents; a fantastic opportunity to buy a lightweight bike with amazing performance. A general mechanical check is recommended before use.
