Some collaborations feel inevitable. Like a rally car meeting a stretch of red African dirt, the partnership between Sease and Automobili Amos arrives with exactly that sense of purpose. Their new Safari Kit capsule collection is not merely inspired by endurance rallying, it is built for it.
Launched as the official wardrobe for the Sease Amos Racing Team, the collection channels the grit and romance of legendary long-distance rallies such as the East African Safari Rally and the Dakar Rally. Essentially, the kind of races where dust hangs in the air like a curtain, and the need for durable, comfortable clothing is as essential as four fully inflated tyres.
Founded by brothers Franco Loro Piana and Giacomo Loro Piana, Sease’s Safari Kit was designed alongside the team at Automobili Amos, and the capsule is both a lifestyle statement and a functioning racing wardrobe, tested in real endurance rally conditions. At the heart of the collection sits the Endurance Field Jacket, the hero piece of the kit. Its classic safari silhouette is reimagined in laminated Solaro-inspired wool, resulting in a jacket that feels equally at home behind the wheel of a rally car, or on the terrace of a lodge after sunset. Our favourite feature is the belt and buckle closure that nods subtly to racing harness systems, a clever reminder that even the smallest details have motorsport DNA.
Speaking of Solaro as a fabric, this material plays a central role throughout the capsule. Originally developed for the British Army to protect soldiers from harsh African sun, the material has been reborn here with modern treatments and technical finishes. In SEASE’s hands, it becomes a bridge between history and high performance.
Elsewhere in the collection, another standout is the Safari Vest. This unique piece translates automotive design cues into clothing, with pre-formed Solaro textures inspired by the surfaces found inside competition cars. The Race Jacket, meanwhile, arrives in Alcantara, a material better known for its presence on high-performance car interiors than in a wardrobe.
Beyond outerwear, the Safari Kit expands into a complete rally-ready uniform. There is a mechanic-style Endurance Suit in Solaro-like cotton herringbone, a Military Shirt and Cargo Pants in cotton drill, and a relaxed sweatshirt for moments when the engine cools but the stories are just getting started. Embroidered across the garments is the appropriately evocative motto: Heat, Dust, Glory. The collaboration also reflects the ethos of Eugenio Amos and his company Automobili Amos, known for reinterpreting automotive icons such as the Delta Futurista with obsessive craftsmanship and modern engineering.
