All my exes live in Texas...
Built to house around a dozen cars belonging to a Texas-based collector, the new house by Matt Fajkus Architecture in Austin is an enthusiast’s dream. The onus has very much been placed on the cars, from the lack of view-obstructing supports to the large glass windows, which allow a tantalising peak from the second floor. It’s cleverly designed, too — the structure was shifted backwards to allow for a bigger driveway without increasing the building’s footprint. Throw in some tasteful and thoroughly modern interior design, and you’ve got a contemporary house that respects and complements the old-school aesthetic of some fabulous motor cars.
