Aside from the cars, girls, supervillains, and exotic locales, one of the main draws of any good Bond movie has been the exquisite fashion, and now you can style yourself straight from the silver screen with Connolly’s 007 Capsule Collection. Designed in collaboration with Eon Productions, the makers of the James Bond Films, the stars of the new collection are two limited hero pieces. The first is a Navy Blue Mixed Linen Giubbino Jacket, and the second is an Oatmeal Linen Shirt, both of which are worn by Daniel Craig in the soon-to-be-released film.
Connolly are also producing a bespoke Classic Navy Blue and Graphite Wool Drop Back Car Vest with an original grey Connolly Vaumol leather zip pull, featuring the brand’s hallmark metal bolt rivet, and a reworked interior including a hidden pocket. For those who are unfamiliar, in 1964, when the Aston Martin DB5 made its first bond cameo, its interior was graced with grey Vaumol Connolly leather, perfectly complimenting the Silver Birch paintwork and redefining our expectations of a secret agent’s ride.
Taking inspiration from the original Goldfinger DB5, Connolly have created a range of small grey and black Vaumol leather accessories including a Key Ring, Passport Holder, Credit Card Case, Folded Card Case, Circuit Pouch and a pair of Connolly’s distinctive Driving Goggles. However, no range of driver-centric accessories would be complete without a set of driving gloves, and Connolly have used the same black and grey colour way on their infamous Road Rage Driving Gloves, which feature silver foil hallmarking with a subtle nod to the original DB5 registration plate.
