Rolls Royce builds the Black Badge, Bentley builds the Black Edition

As successful marketing campaigns continue to attract a younger demographic, the luxury barges for which Britain is so well known continue to become faster, louder, and in the case of this special-edition Bentley Flying Spur V8 S, darker…

Back in black

In a rare change from other special editions, the Black Edition is not just an aesthetic upgrade package, with the 4.0-litre V8 having been tuned for 521bhp, 502lb-ft of torque, and a top speed of 190mph. Complementing this thumping powerplant is the brooding black exterior. All the chrome elements are now black, the lights have been tinted, and, of course, the new 21-inch seven-spoke wheels have also fallen victim. Contrast stitching inside the cabin further adds to the more youthful appearance, and daring customers can also order a striking ‘colour split’ interior, with accents breaking up the abundance of, you guessed it, black furnishings. As Bentley’s demographic continues to fall in age, you can expect to see these Black Editions in all the hottest spots in town... if you can keep up with them, that is.
